I think there should be some way t o destroy artifacts depending on how you play the game.If you play a inherently good character you should be able to round up daedric weapons and have some kind of Mt.doom to throw them in.what are some ways you dispose of less desirable weapons and artifacts now?

Considering how artifacts work in TES games they'd probably know what you're planning and "walk away" before you'd reach said mount doom.

What if you collect all of the evil artifacts and just place them in some random barrel? Won't the game auto-delete them when the loot resets for the container?

Me, I am a packrat, all my loot goes into a chest in one of my houses.

With nature of artifact in TES, destroying artifacts wouldn't affect the princes to much anyway. By destroying the artifact you just sending them back to the Daedric prince.

Store them within the chest in Bromjunaar Sanctuary then store the wooden mask within and they'll be sealed away for all time

I hear ya. You could drop the artifacts into a fire or something for RP purposes and then have them obliterated through the barrel method.

Do her quest until you get to inside the star.

Beat the boss in the star.

Drop all the artifacts.

Leave.

+10 points for showing the Daedra who's screwing who.

And if you leave it as the Black Star you've pretty much screwed every daedric prince.

If I want to do this, normally I recruit Erandur and have him send the artifact back like he did with the Staff of Corruption. (I really just disable them with him as a follower...)

You could drop the artifacts while doing Sam Guenever's drinking challenge as well. (Can't remember where exactly that one takes you)
