Random groups of StormcloaksImperials

Post » Tue Jun 17, 2014 9:21 am

My level 68 Breton was wandering around in the wilderness near Riften last night. And saw several groups of Stormcloaks that had killed Imperials in skirmishes. I had the urge to just kill them. (I am on the imperial side in the civil war.) does any one else do this or do you simply attack the forts/camps for the quest.

Your character is a psychopath.

Only if i pick a side. Even if youre a supporter, its not really right to get involved unless youre officially on a side (unless its Thalmor). Then its your obligation.

I see this all the time as well. If your character is allied with the Imperials and you are feeling strong enough, then why shouldn't you attack them? Go for it.

Seems like normal behavior to want to kill your enemies during wartime.

Even Conan the Barbarian listed "crushing your enemies and seeing them driven before you" as one of the best things in life.

That isn't psychopathy, he has a reason to want to kill them. They are rebels and he is aligned with the Imperials.

Mine just sit and watch unless they're in the Legion/Stormcloaks.

It's funny sometimes, because the Legionnaires win 9 times out of 10 and after the fighting I'm greeted with "Citizen" and they walk away.

They explicitly said that their character is in the Legion. It's a pretty sensible reaction to want to kill them.

Well Ulfric/Tullius give you permission to do so, although it is a little bit sick killing the wounded in those camps. At least these were clearly enemy combatants & you have avenged your fallen comrades.

I am morbidly fascinated what terrors you would unleash upon these NPCs (and your system RAM) if you had a global mod the likes of Immersive Patrols or Civil War Overhaul....

I actually used to struggle with this.

When you think about it, you're pretty much leaving them to their doom. They're wounded and out in the wilderness where no one will help them cause you just killed the people tending to and protecting them. They'll either die from exposure, their wounds, starvation, or get eaten by wild animals. Probably best to kill them, too.
