not looking to cheat only to have better game play..mod?

Post » Thu Jun 19, 2014 1:31 am

as previously stated, new to this 3rd old game. Looking for a list of mods that improve game play (not to cheat). Also, a particularly annoying aspect of the game, identification FoF.. is there a mod for that?

A list of mods and links would be great
Thanks
M

there is no mod out there that allows you to cheat at Skyrim per say.

You should go to the http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/?

Aside from identification FoF, what aspects of gameplay do you want changed?

And how do you want it changed?

Hi Tuna!

Actually there are lots of cheat mods! The nexus has a section for them. But you seem like you want gameplay changes in which case there are A LOT. You can browse the nexus to see which are the most endorsed or you can be more specific and get some suggestions (particularly from the modding forum). E.g. What do you think should be changed? Magic? Combat? Quests? Balance? etc

As to your second part, what does ' identification FoF' mean? I tried googling it but the answers didn't seem right ^^

I think he meant he did not want cheats.

Anyway i already reported the topic to be moved to skyrim mods, so the Origina Poster can get more help when it is moved there.

FoF is friend or foe... and like I said to improve gameplay. If one has to cheat in a game, what's the point in playing it...

Ok so you want AI mods then, anything else? Might as well list your desired improvements so it can be handled better.

Aww friend or foe....like how they display on the compass?

As far as gameplay mods go I recommend you go to the Nexus an hit the FILES tab and select CATEGORIES

It will give you a big list...you can browse through there. You will probably want to open different categories in different tabs. The mods will be sorted in order of endorsemant ( a sort of popularity vote). Usually, the mod page will have installation instructions which will become second nature after a few installs.

There are something like 15-20 thousand mods on that site. If you want to browse the essentials you can select FILES->Top Files and then All Time to see what people consider the must have mods. It would probably be good to watch a video on how to install mods before beginning. Also, you can use Mod Organiser or NMM to download and manage your mods.

Gophers has Immersive Hud which can limit you from seeing the compass to only when you want to see it.

I'm not sure what that means. Do you mean how to tell if someone is a friend or foe if you are too far to tell? e.g. If you are deciding whether or not person X is a bandit or a hunter because they dress the same and you are deciding whether or not to snipe them with your bow?

I thought he meant NPC FoF identificaton.

Example: The other day i accidentally attacked a guard, and quickly sheathed my weapon, so the guard was not hostile towards me, but i had a summoned dremora with me, the dremora attacked the guard, but the guard did not attack me, only the dremora.

The OP has created a http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1502537-new-to-this-3yr-old-game-but-not-to-tes/#entry23665159 in the correct Sub-forum, guys, perhaps we can let the mod forum regulars handle it there? Unless this one is moved and the other locked, or the opposite.

Edit: i keep stepping on toes...

Edit 2: This topic has become somewhat of a jumbled mess, i think the other thread would be best to be used.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry bout the confusion. I have reposted on the proper forum. (Mod forum) thanks.

One more thing before I move to the mod forum, fof I'm referring to an ability to distinguish if target (animal, npc, mob, whatever moves in the game) is friendly or hostile from a distance so I can shoot it with a bow before target see's me.
