whenever I hit new game.

This is really annoying considering I spent my own money on this and it refuses to work in any way. Any possible fix for this?

You need to list your computer specs before anyone can offer any advice. It might simply be that your system just isn't capable of running the game. Also, are you seeing any sort of error message?
