It bothers me that even though i'm able to calculate long distance shots, you cant actually make them. Your arrow just disappears unnaturally.

Do you play on PC or on consoles?

If you play on PC there is a mod you can download called Arrows In the Everywhere which makes the arrows last longer. If you play pm consoles there is not much you can do.

If you play on PC, use the .ini tweaks discussed in http://zemalf.blogspot.com/2011/11/skyrim-archery-tweak.html. With those simple changes, I can make the most epic long-range bow and crossbow shots imaginable.

All archers should use these ini settings. God I love them!

+1 for every past and future reincarnation of me. I'd never play without those settings again.

Yep, I've had killcam longbow shots that lasted so long that it completely drained my stamina of about 300!

Haha, I turned my killcams off, they made my arrows miss too much when it was obvious it couldn't (how do you miss a mammoth from 20 yards?).
