Should I or should I not?

Ok before I list my past Beth experience I'm going to make one thing clear- I know absolutely nothing about New Vegas, or the rest of the Fallout series for that matter.

I play on PS3 so mods are out. I'm not looking to spend an excessive amount of money and the extent of my back ground research is literally just scrolling through the forums :D I'm into open-world RP-able games. I've played Oblivion and Skyrim in the Elder Scrolls series and I love them. I've never even considered playing a similar game with guns and whatnot. From the few rare and vague references made in the Elder Scrolls forums to FNV it seems like I'd enjoy it. I'm just looking for some basic info and pricings. NO SPOILERS PLEASE!

Thanks in advance!

If you want to break it down to its core, Fallout 3 and NV are "Oblivion with guns". But I say that with good intentions. Personally I loved Fallout 3 and NV, and I would whole heartedly recommend NV and ALL of its DLCs. If you loved Oblivion and Skyrim, you will love NV.

Thanks for the reply.

How much do you think I could pick a copy up for now?

Also, how old is the game before NV? Was it originally made for PS3 and XBOX360?
