Leveingscaling is odd

Lets say i want a daedric sword. If i level up smithing all the way:

-I level up quickly which in turn makes enemies harder

-i level up onehanded or whatever to increase how much damage i do to said enemies

-at this point i could probably just find a daedric sword.

I would almost be better off not investing into smithing and just leveling up basic trees.

Sometimes i feel like leveling is pointless. But anyway do you see what i mean?

not really, finding Daedric weapons is INCREDIBLY hard unless you abuse the Atronach forge, smithing allows you to get it MUCH faster and then also make even stronger then it already is.

Aren't Daedric Items super-rare anyways? I've think I've found one total Daedric-make item in the thousands of hours of playing this game.

Anyways, having played a smith character that also leveled Heavy Armor and Two Handed, I can attest that you won't be at high enough level to actually find Daedric Weapons and Armor. (Prolly lvl 35-40 by the time I got to that point, and I played a Wood Elf).

Indeed - according to the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Daedric_Smithing#Daedric_Smithing Daedric weapons 'appear in leveled lists starting at level 46 (enchanted varieties at level 47). However, even after level 46, Daedric weapons are twenty times less likely to appear than other weapon types.'

Daedric armor is level 47 (49 for enchanted).

Ebony is pretty rare to. By the time i can create daedric and Dragon weapons and armor, i can usually only find dwarven and orcish stuff at best. And i can make it far stonger as well.

I find ebony items semi-regularly. They're generally not out in the main game world, but if your character is at a really high level you can sometimes find them on high level draugr.

But Daedric items are very uncommon. Getting them without the smithing tree will require either the Atronach forge or obtaining the dremora merchant from Solstheim. Apart from that, finding daedric stuff is going to be very rare and special.

I only started to find Daedric items at high level 50s(Cuirass, Enchanted Boots, Daedric Warhammer)

Even then, while I got that way by leveling up Smithing, and Enchanting, I only got to 83 in smithing. (But that was enough because I used Stalhirm armor, and I was able to enchant it crazily with the best effects)

The only place I ALWAYS found Daedric weapons, were the crappily enchanted daggers in the Thieves Guild caches. I had a full cupboard of them by the time I found the Cuirass.
