so we have all played at least one.. a game that upon first look you said "how is that fun..", but once we give it a try, we can't put down the Controller (or Keyboard in us PC gamers case)..

what are some games in this Criteria you have played?



Pong and Tetris aside (as they are the obvious ones), my Nephew was playing a Harvest Moon game a few years back.. and to me it looked incredibly boring, but than i picked it up a few months later for $5 from a pawnshop, and it is addicting as heck.. you say "okay, i'll water my crops and call it a night..." and next thing you know a month has passed in-game and your late into the office..

also, just about any Visual Novel.. alot of people don't give that genre a chance, but they can get incredibly addicting depending how the story was handled..




so, what are some games you played that at first glance looked sub-par, but once you tried it felt incredibly addicting?

Brutal Legend. I had no idea how much fun that game was going to be.

Progress Quest. I played that game 18 hours a day for a month.
