How do you defeat General Falx Carius?

Post » Mon Jun 30, 2014 4:46 pm

I'm not kidding, my character was wearing dragonplate armor (legendary), had 340 HP, level 38 and had Dragon Aspect activated on top of that.

And the guy would kill him in two hits. Just two hits, in every attempt. It's insane. (And I was only playing on expert)

I somehow managed with the help of the Dragonborn ghost that spawns from you when you're getting beaten but that wasn't the victory I wanted.

I tend to use Slow Time so I can take him out with power attacks before he is able to hit my char.

So you confirm that his damage input is supposed to be as I described?

Yeah carius has huge dmg thx to his hammer and all perks he has. I had hard time even when I fought him with armor cap and 85% magic resist and over 50% elemental resists. He is tough way beyond his level.

Yes, he has a very strong attack. Not sure how my "tactics" would work on expert difficulty - I always play on normal (adept?).

I've only fought him once. Kharjo distracted him while my arcane archer pumped him full of potion-tipped arrows from a distance.

Now here's the thing. Blocking won't help you. He'll still deplete one third of your HP. And he barely gets staggered.

And I don't know if it's just me but power attacks don't break his blocking. So I don't know how you go near the guy at all.

I just won by using Drain Vitality, getting help from the DB ghost which didn't feel good and finishing him then. I couldn't last if I engaged him directly.

Slow Time is almost "god mode" IMO. My favorite shout by far, but it almost feels like "cheating".

Nah, power that comes from your dragon blood is part of you like your arms and legs.

Well, with Slow Time he won't be able to block so you can easily bypass it.

Step 1: Paralyze the General with the best poison/spell I have obtained at the time (best would be Mora's Grasp)

Step 2: Deal with his Ashspawn

Step 3: Attack when he strikes, from behind

Step 4: Beat his stupid corspe with his stupid cartoony hammer.
