Azura's Star or The Black Star - A Telvanni Wizard's Dilemma

Post » Wed Jul 02, 2014 11:02 pm

So I'm playing a Telvanni Master Wizard and trying to stay in-character as much as possible.

I've come to a point in the game where I have to make a decision. Do I defy Azura and corrupt her artifact so I can push the boundaries of magic and obtain a fiendishly powerful object? Or do I bow before the authority of the Daedric Prince of Dawn and Dusk? Just how religious are the Telvanni? Would a member of that house risk the ire of one of the Reclamations in the name of powerful magic?

I can't decide, so maybe the rest of you could weigh in with your opinions.

Also note that this character has benefited from Azura's blessing (magic resistance) quite often since arriving on Solstheim for the first time.

I had the exact same problem, but I chose to stay loyal to Azura. Morals over power

As I understand it, a Telvanni Wizard is more interested in knowledge and power, than any Daedra.

So in my view such a character would definitely go with the Black Star.

Azura is the only one of them who seems to be good. You never need to do anything disgusting to get her favor which is unlike most of the others where your actions would always be contrary to a 'good' or even 'neutral' RP char.

I'd say that due to you being able to acquire the star w/o any bad acts, that you owe Azura your loyalty.

I'd side with Azura, and gain Areana Ienith as a follower. One needs an assistant to make the Canis Root tea!

I'm pretty sure that Neloth would opt for more power over kneeling to a Daedric Prince with gender identity issues :P
