Hello,

I've encountered a very strange and specific problem. My latest save is at just after 6am on Fredas 14th Sun's Dusk. I can do everything, including rest, perfectly fine before the in-game clock ticks over 8am. As soon as the in-game time goes past that then saving, waiting, sleeping and fast-travelling all cause a straight crash to the desktop. I've racked up 117 hours of gameplay with no problem so far, but this is really preventing me from going any further.

If it helps, the most recent quest completed was to retrieve Enthir's staff from Southfringe Sanctum. My latest save is in Helgen, on my way back from that quest. I was attacked by vampires the night before my latest save, but there's no mention of me being infected with anything under active magic effects, so not sure if that has anything to do with it either.

I haven't installed any new mods for several weeks either.

Skyrim version is the latest with all official DLC.

I'm really stumped, any help anyone can give me on this would be gratefully received.

Have you tried a quick game cache verify? Tried an earlier save?

I haven't tried the cache verification - will look up how to do this.

I have got earlier saves, but I usually use a mix of quick, auto and hard saves. Both of my most recent hard saves are not long before the mysterious 8am deadline (One at 1am, one at 6am) and both behave the same. My autosaves have all been set to just before as well, as it saves just before I rest and I've tried to rest many times while trying to figure it out. Quicksave too is right before the crash.
