Hello everyone, been a long time.

Here's the problem.

Skyrim will randomly minimize to desktop, no error messages or other alerts. No program/Windows updates either.

This happens at least 30 minutes after loading in.

Specs:

Intel i7 4700MQ

8 GB DDR3 RAM

GT 750M SLI

Windows 8.

Nvidia driver 335.23

I'm running 86 active mods right now. I've cleaned them all (except ones that have to remain "dirty") and used LOOT to sort my load order, with a few manual edits of my own.

Most likely its a Windows application or process causing Windows to show [the] desktop (Windows Key + M or Windows Key + D commands). Does it happen it any other program. Do you have a utility to boot directly to the desktop (Metro UI bypass)? It could also be malware.

I run weekly scans with my anti-malware programs. I never find anything. In fact I ran one when I saw your post, nothing found.

I've also disabled the windows key on my laptop and I boot directly into the desktop.

As for if any other program does this, not that I'm aware of.

So you still boot directly to the desktop. I heard that utility can cause problems. Reset to normal, boot to Metro and then go to the desktop, to see if this is causing the problem.
