Couple of questions. Infamy and Loading

Post » Tue Jul 08, 2014 7:48 pm

Just a couple of things I'm wondering about:

1/ If I get above a certain level of Fame, I start getting approached for certain side quests. Is there anything like that for Infamy, or is there any other reason to intentionally rack up a high Infamy level?

2/ I've read a couple of places that you shouldn't load a save in this game without exiting the game first. That seems... a bit much? Is this just over-caution, or is it a thing I should really be doing? Mostly noticed it in the comments pages of a few mods (can't remember which, unfortunately). I think the idea was that it would help avoid save corruption.

1. There is Infamy, and it can lock or unlock certain quests. Also, NPC disposition will be lower towards you if you have enough Infamy.

2. What you don't' want to do in this game is spam the Quickload button. The biggest deal is to turn off the Autosave features, all of them. Never load an Autosave either. Also, you want lots and lots of save slots. IF the game glitches, the best and most successful way to resolve this is to load a quest from before you started the quest and play it again. Note, you can receive the quest and ignore it for a long time, you just want a hard save from before you start actually doing something. Also, make a hard save before you go into a dungeon, just in case. I also avoid overwriting a save slot more than 5 to 10 times in this game, usually I create new slots each time. I can always delete them later.
