ive encountered what seems to be a bug when trying to play skyrim on pc for the first time whenever i start nothing but a gray thing covers my screen and whenever i try to move several textures appear to flash across the screen that are seemingly random the game continues like normal but this effectively makes my character blind ive looked everywhere i can and couldnt find anything about it im very new to pc gaming and not very tech savvy so any amount of help is appreciated and if it helps no other games ive played have this problem and i have no mods installed into skyrim and my laptop im using is used and i havent had a chance to get it cleaned out of some of the original owners files yet

Does your laptop have a dedicated video card? This sounds like your rig is missing the shaders needed for the game. Or, if you have one of the newer laptops, it could be the rig is trying to run the game on the CPU graphics.

Go into power settings and force the system to use the 3D Video card, if you have one, when you are plugged into AC. You may even have to do this in the control panel for the video card to force the system to use the video card.
