I don't believe it. You can play Fallout 3 on the PC with a 360 controller. I was trying out my Skyrim because I knew you can use a controller to try something out. Then I started to play Fallout 3 and was wondering why my mouse and keyboard was not working. Low and behold Fallout 3 has 360 controller support.

Did anyone know this? Oh man, I am going to love this now. So happy happy happy.

Just mentioning this so other people will know this. Not documented anywhere from what I can tell and no options for it either in the settings, so a nice bonus to find.

*edit* Anyone know what the Fallout 3 layout for the xbox controller is? Too use to Skyrim and somethings are a bit different for it.

Considering the game use GFWL it would be more surprising if it didn't.

Yes I discovered that a month or 2 ago ya I love it I don't like to play with the mouse or n e thing so good thing I had a wired xbox controller laying around

Yes, the Support is built in.

Which also means if you are using the Keyboard and Mouse, you may have to disable the Gamepad and the Rumble as that can cause massive stuttering on machines that are not using the controller. You can do this in the Options of the game.

Only other thing to remember is if you want to use the console commands at any stage you will need to re-enable the mouse keyboard, and switch back again when your done.

To get the full function of the controller you will want to start up the game with the controller plugged in. Sometimes I have noticed when I plugged it in afterwards is that some options are not available like dropping items. There might be a few others. I prefer playing with mouse and keyboard but sometimes the arthritis starts to kick in and I still want to play so I plug in the controller since with the controller I can still play maybe not as good as normal but still I can play.
