Lets build a list of Lore friendly mods...

Hello everyone, I have been itching for a list like this... I have been playing this game for so long that I have gotten sick of it several times and yet I still keep coming right back... xD

I would like to compile a list of all mods that are compatible with the atmostphere of the original game. Meaning that there are cultural boundries that cannot be crossed and standards for atmostpheric textures and so on... I have seen a lot of mods for this game and others that are made to resemble something else, for example crossover armor and weapons that look good but arent really a part of the world were trying to stay in...

I have no problem at all with textural overhauls but some I have seen make the game look Asian or European which is not the culture that were dealing with...

A good place to start I think would be mods that add realism to the game, better sound effects that make the environment feel real. Mods that give advantages/conciquences for actions/inactions such as eaing or not eating food, sleeping, casting spells in public, stuff that makes it feel more like your actions are really affected yourself and the world...

I like mods like MCA because of all the vast content and generally the unknown nature of what is going to happen next, the problem is that I have seen thugs with glass and even deadric equipment... If the NPCs are not equiped realistically then the game is broken from the start... You dont expect to find a vast fortune off a begger...

Then you have stuff like better heads/faces, its a good attempt to make the game better by adding diverse visuals, but a great deal of the hair that I have seen, never mind not looking realistic, but it is greatly in conflict with the culuture of the world...

The subjects we can get into are vast, these are just a list of what I can think of off the top of my head as issues that need to be paid attention to.

Thanks in advance everybody, hopefully we can build a list that can make the game really great...

http://mw.modhistory.com/download-90-13583 is much more lore friendly than MCA (and I prefer it overall.)

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1006626-list-lore-correct-armor-expansions/ - Lots listed in the OP, and even more through the thread.

And someone recently started http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1503491-good-lore-correct-questmods/ looking for lore friendly quests.

http://lgnpc.org/ fits into the game seamlessly. I can't play without all of them.

And can't forget http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/, of course.

I prefer to use the term lore-sympathetic. But hey that's semantics!

Are you looking for all sorts of mods for you list? Nearly half if not more of the house mods for Morrowind could be considered sympathetic to the lore, by not necessarily contradicting anything which is known.
