Hey everyone. I just joined the forum, but I've been reading the lore section for a while. I'm nowhere near as well-read or well-informed about TES lore as most of you on this board are though. Anyway, I was thinking, what ever happened to the Eternal Champion? So, the Hero of Daggerfall was forced into a timeline where they died in the Warp of the West, the Nerevarine apparently went on an expedition to Akavir, the Hero of Kvatch (arguably) become Sheogorath and we don't really know what it will be said happened to the Dragonborn after Skyrim yet, though I assume we'll hear rumours of something in the next Elder Scrolls game. But we never hear anything about the Eternal Champion.
One could argue that the Eternal Champion and the Hero of Daggerfall are actually the same person, but I'm not really a fan of that theory. Plus, I believe the background system in Daggerfall disproves that assertion. So, in terms of lore, what do you suppose happened to the Eternal Champion? Were they given some form of power by the Emperor? Did they go back to their home Province? Or did they simply go on an expedition to the land of Protagonists Past?
I know that for the sake of not ruining anyone's character they have to make the heroes of previous Elder Scrolls games disappear, but it's always seemed odd to me that nothing is ever mentioned of the Eternal Champion, the big hero who saved the entire Empire from Jagar Tharn. Especially when the Emperor made such a big deal about how you'll be remembered forever once you save him at the end of the game. Any lore explanations you guys can come up with on where the Champion went and why nobody ever mentions them?
