What I mean is:

NCR = Democracy

House = Capitalism

Legion = Dictatorship

Indy = Anarchy

Bring this up because while I ultimately supported anarchy in New Vegas because I do believe it can work if you weed all the problem children out and leave all good people in place....that's super specific to that community. For example if the Followers or the Kings didn't exist, I doubt my choice would be the same. I chose what I did because the Mojave ALREADY exhibits multiple self-sustaining communities with little to no self-governance who've managed not to kill themselves over 200 years, so anarchy hardly seems like a risk for them that it would be for others. The only risky area is Vegas proper, and even that excludes Westside. Northside and Freeside are the only two parts of Vegas proper where a subculture of violence does exist and cannot be fully eradicated by the Courier, but as stated, I believe the Kings and the Followers have the right mentality and mindset to eventually wittle that down into nothing.

But would I support anarchy in real life....?

I bring this thread up because I cringe hard every time I see a Youtube video of a protest where some pretentious little neckbeard names himself an anarchist or a communist, as if the title were adopted solely for the hipster mentality of picking something fringe and claiming mental superiority and that others "just don't understand!" because they're just not as intelligent, philosophical and open minded as you! Mind you that does not mean people can't exist who seriously and intelligently make such claims and provide working solutions to problems such a change might face (see Noam Chomsky; shame he's a boring as hell speaker ), I merely mean the vast majority of people who'd support those ideas in real life seem to have no grasp of the weight such a change would carry. And no, I can't picture the USA suddenly becoming an anarchy and working. Germany where I live...? Ironically I think the problem they'd face is more that they ****ing love their rules and pieces of bureocratic papers so much they'd prefer the order they currently have to anarchy, so why the HELL would you wanna force it on them? (even if I guess it could work here)

Likewise, House would be my second choice....but I hate the corrupt capitalism we see today. xD New Vegas proposes each philosophy uncorrupted, but reality isn't so shiny. I've been screwed over by another person's greed more times than I care to count in my short lifespan, so if either Germany or the USA said "k we fully capitalist now" I'd probably burn that passport and never return.

Ironically one of the first alternatives I'd be willing to take to democracy would be autocracy, because if you simply find a capable leader? Problem solved for their lifetime. After that...? Well, I'm not a person afraid to move countries.

So yeah, was just curious what peoples views are on the others in real life and from a realistic perspective.
