I can't believe this,is Skyrim compatible with Windows 8.1?

Yo guys.Few days ago,I made my list of part for building a ultimate gaming PC rig that I will use for hardcoe gaming, but I also wanted to use that PC to run Skyrim on some ultra HD graphic mods.So I put this link here of my rig (http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Sausage_Beacon/saved/Qhzkcf) on some forums and YT to see what will ppl say about it (is everything allright,I'm not so egoistic) and some ppl said that Windows 8.1 is not compatible with Skyrim, but I like Skyrim and Windows 8.1 soo much and it made me to kinda get stuck here. So,I just want to ask you guys about your opinion is Skyrim compatible with W8.1 or not,or if it is not, will it be in future??

As far as I'm aware it will run on 8.1, it's just not supported is all. ie: Beth tech support won't provide much assistance. But you'd be able to get plenty of help on these forums (Probably better than anything techsupport can do)

I've been on windows 8 and what ever the current update is for windows 8 and have been playing Skyrim on it since I got this PC with windows 8. Why wouldn't it work?

Now I will say some games do not work right away with windows 8. Take Mass Effect 1. I downloaded it from steam, it installed but it would not launch. I had to go into the properties of the launcher and set it to run in compatibility mode. Now it launches.

Windows 8.1 is fully compatible with Skyrim. !!!! Thera is no doubt about it.

You should more worry about your R9 295X2 *** GPU as for windows 8.1.

*** With crossfire enabled, it will bypass vsync in Skyrim and screws with the game's physics causing items to go flying all over, except the micro stuttering you will encounter.

This card has 4GB per GPU. That means actually 2Gb + 2GB divided on two GPU's. That will be a problem running Skyrim with a lots of mods smoothly.

Actually you will waste half of your GPU's total VRAM. !!!

But there are always workarounds, right ??? :icecream:
