For Dawnguard DLC, I looked at Katria's body and there are no journals. Is this a bug?

I read the book, aetherium wars, but i didn't get an objective to find the ruins. I just went there, so that may be the problem.

Also, after talking to katria, the quest doesn't start. How do I fix this?

I would re-load entering the place if you have the autosave. But the book with her notes SHOULD be on her corpse after you talk to her. And its not in her corpse's inventory?

What system are you on?

This quest may not start if, after installing Dawnguard, you have visited Mzulft or Deep Folk Crossing prior to reading The Aetherium Wars.

A lot of people have my problem if you google it. Someone suggested using console command to start the quest:

setstage DLC1LD 130

I want a console code that starts the quest from the beginning. The code above starts in the middle I think.

So your on the PC? Are you running the unofficial patch for Dawnguard?

And you looted her body but there was no book? You could find the book through the console and add it through the console to your inventory. Then read it and see if it triggers the quest to continue. You'll want the book. it has notes inside that you'll need. So simply setting the stage to get the quest to continue may not be as helpful. To find the book, type "help katria" in your console window (without the quotes) and the journal ID # should show up. then enter "player. additem (enter ID#) 1" and it will give you the book. Don't use this code but what you entered should look like this. "player. additem 020b12c 1" the 1 after the number gives you one book.

I am not using an unofficial patch for Dawnguard, at least from what I know of. Yes I am on PC. People on PS3 and Xbox360 also has this bug.

player. additem 020146DB 1 is the code for the journal, and it didn't work. Looks like I need console command to force the quest to start. Anyone know beginning stage id for Lost to the Ages quest?

Console command doesn't work for this quest unfortunately. Anyone know how to solve this?

Unofficial Skyrim patch for Dawnguard didn't work either.

What a great quest, I guess I'll just console command the aetherial crown.

P.S. I fInd it a bit funny that developers are blaming mods for this bug considering people playing on PS3 and Xbox360 can't use mods.
