Mac Book Pro with Retina, using Mac or Win 8.1 doesn't look as nice and crisp and clean on my 60" TV. I think it's LED 3D TV. Using HDMI cable.

The reason I ask is because I read all the comments on the Beth forums on how people say using your TV is just like using a monitor and everything should be the same since the PC.

So either I am doing something wrong, or some of the people are wrong. My only guess is TVs and monitors are not built the same or maybe in my case, this "retina" makes it more pretty and beautiful while my Samsung can't.

Is there anything I can do to get the TV to look nicer or is it the TV and nothing can be done.

Most times I don't see a difference but when I use to play Elder Scrolls Online, or now Skyrim with Mods, I see a difference now.

Just curious as to why.
