Character Guide for Goodsprings Glitch?

Post » Wed Jul 16, 2014 6:13 pm

I'm just getting back into the game after not playing for about two years. All my old saves are gone, so starting over with a new character.

My question is, since I'm doing the Goodsprings/Chet glitch to get to level 50 and get the 28 extra perks, what should I set my SPECIAL stats to? I plan on getting the implants, as well as already own all the DLC's, so will get the bonus' from OWB as well.

I mainly play a stealthy sniper type character, with a fetish for energy weapons. So getting the stealth/energy weapons perks is important.

There was a guide to this that I used to follow, but after two years it's been lost to time.

28 extra perks? Sounds like you're going to be so OP that it hardly matters what your SPECIAL is.

Well anyway, don't start with any SPECIAL over 9, due to getting the implants. And S at no more than 7, since you can get +2 in OWB.

Do you know about the Agility exploit in Dead Money? You can get Agility up to 10, although not for the purpose of getting perks.

and second why use it , why use glitches that makes your character OP zand where is the fun and challenge in it

it is not cheating i think you can not cheat in a single player game , but like i said , you taking the challenge out of the game this way

LOL yeah 50 levels of perks is boring enough, even more would be ridiculous.

I actually wish level 50 enemies upon you while you only have level 1 weapons. Thats what one deserves for abusing this game in a negative way!

Y'know, when I take a long time off from a game, I know that when I come back a year or two later everything I had is going to be lost, forgotten, or changed by mod and patch updates. Personally, I think that's a GOOD thing, giving a fresh outlook and fresh challenges on an old game. There are days when I wish I didn't remember Morrowind and Oblivion quite so well... Well, maybe I'll get hit in the head by an angry death claw and develop amnesia or something.

My point is, why worry about a forgotten glitch? Just enjoy the game as you find it, and you'll have all the power you want in the end..
