Load order thoughts or the ramblings of a madman

I don't recall posting my current load order before. I have been using this load order for quite a while now and it has barely changed over time with the exception of swapping old mod versions for newer ones (I am looking at you, Better Cities!). Although the game seems to run pretty decently I am wondering if anyone here might spot an error or might even have a suggestion.

I like to think I am not stressing my system too much as it's a decent modern machine. I only use a very small amount of texture replacers and the majority of them are not really high-res (512/1024). OBGE v3.1 is currently only used for the Purger mod, for visual enhancements I am using ENB. The resolution am currently playing on is also pathetically low: 1280x1024.

Of course I am using OSR with heap replacement (HeapMode=5, 1024MB) and Purger to keep things smooth.

I am fairly certain that 99 out of a 100 CTDs are caused by:
- A corrupted spawn (waiting for 3 days solves the crash)
- AI problem

As I said, I don't believe I am stressing my hardware too much:
CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: GTX 770 2GB
SSD: Oblivion is running of a solid state drive

OS: Windows 8.1 Enterprise (system is joined to a domain)

All modifications have been cleaned with the latest version of TES4Edit. TES4LL and TES4LODGen have also been "applied" to this load order.

I did edit some of the mods in my load order and you can also see a few custom esps. Master.esm, Master.esp, Slave.esp and ThroneRoom.esp are mods made by me. They override some stuff from the bashed patch and add additional content. Some of the mods have also been edited more thoroughly:

Although I remained faithful to this load order for quite a while now, I am seriously considering going back to a full FCOM install. The amount of additional content is amazing, but I really prefer stability over extra content. My previous machine was considerably weaker than my current system and it was quite clear that FCOM+BC+UL was a "Tad bit too much?" for it. The only downside to this is that getting everything correct has become a real pain these days (it was actually easier to setup FCOM in the past than it is now, especially if you're using body replacers and a vast amount of mods).

I am also seriously considering dropping ENB for ENBBoost and have OBGE deliver the colourful fantasy where-the-sun-is-gold kind of world. I never had any real luck with DDSopt, because I am an inpatient sod (read: I am lazy and offered it the entire texture folders and pretty much every bsa to it, causing it to muck up quite a few textures. Imperials Citty walls for example), but I should probably give that another go as well!

Also, I quote the above, because I can't see how you can think that is true. Now that the mods are BSA-based, it is way less complicated to set up. I must not understand you?

I'm the one who continually tells people that FCOM + Better Cities + the ULs doesn't work. And it's not a hardware failure. It's a game engine failure. Usually those load orders have other culprits, too, like RAEVWD commonly. But, the engine does have limitations that hardware cannot overcome. You may meet them.
EDIT: I see you are running OOO+MMM + Better Cities + several ULs. How does it run for you? I am curious.


You mention CTDs but don't say whether you are experiencing them.

Why do you have 2 bashed patches?
