Independent New Vegas Playthrough (Flaw and Spoiler)

Perhaps I am being persnickety, but I believe Yes Man is supposed to carry out any order anyone gives him until his software update after the game. So, question: If you select the option to throw General Oliver off the dam, General Oliver remarks "No, get away from me you goddamned TV on wheels!" In saying "Get away from me," shouldn't Yes Man then leave him alone? I mean, seriously, it was a command. I understand that this ending was for poops (Don't know forum policy on cursing) and giggles, any plot flaw bothers me. I could go on a tangent and ruin the game for everyone, but I'll be satisfied with this one post. Even though no one gives a poop (Can someone clear up the forum policy for me?), I have to post this for my own peace of mind (and the comfort of knowing that I disrupted yours).
