the tanker fan ficrp idea

Post » Sat Jul 26, 2014 10:24 pm

ok, I have to face it I am complete rubbish as a writer. facts and figures or people and places I know intellectually. but I was talking with styles in the pre war powers thread, though it may have been more of a why does this happen thread more than anything else http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1504011-fallout-pre-war-powers/#entry23713659.

but we hit upon the idea of the tanker that destroyed the oil rig sailing around being used as a home. with many adventures and ending up in various places.

my idea basically hinges upon what happened after it docked and let everyone off. did it continue on with the squatters at the helm? could the enclave have recaptured it and maybe used it as oil rig 2.0? was it's operation completely automatic and if so did it leave shortly after?

these questions and more are something I feel need to be answered. I have no idea how to begin writing or running this as either fan fic or rp thread.

my hope is I can get input, and if it seemed plausible or likeable as an idea perhaps do either.

of course if I am completely crazy than I want t know so I can have help.

I think the Enclave has been used to death by now. Aside from existing pockets and Fannon, Fan made Cannon. They shouldn't exist anymore. Though the events of Fallout 3 would need to be decided. But that should be the only mention of them. But that's up to what you decide. But I like the idea of squatters sailing round the world.

Feel free to use what you want in my Alaska Fan Lore Thread. It's why I made it in the first place.

Awesome, I hope I can get some kind of feed back. though admittedly I put in the enclave bits to entice the fans cause they are everywhere... :poke:and under every rock.

hey does anyone have any ideas off the top of their heads? first place to visit or first cool how did that get there moment like a petro-chico oil rig near Antarctica.

It'd be best to chart a course. From it's initial position, it's gonna need to stop and resupply along the way. But deciding where a friendly stop is, and who they could potentially trust should be a major factor. One port may be infested with ferals, the other a town of peaceful settlers. But stumbling upon abandoned ports or cannibal raiders. Would be a terrifying experience.
