Retexturing question.

Basically what I want to is just change the look of some buildings for a mod I am making. I want the leyawiin lower class houses to look, well, different to what they are.

Can I just have a folder set up like this:


meshes\architecture\mirthlvain\mirthlvainlower01

and one of the texutres would be:

textures\architecture\mirthlvain\leyawiinstuco_wall01


So I am just editing the vanilla textures, and then putting them in a different folder, and then changing the texture path in NifSkope. Is this legal?? Don't want to do all this and then find out I am not allowed.

Any help appreciated :)

I guess thats fine, as that is exactly what hundreds of retexture mods actually do. Seems to be within Bethesda's chilled attitude towards modding their games.
