Hey guys,

I have Oblivion on Steam (with all the official DLCS). I will explain everything I have tried. I have no other MODS (only official DLCS).

Problem:

Load Oblivion (from Steam or shortcut), the launcher comes up. I click play, the launcher disappears, game does not launch, then launcher reappears.

What I tried:

• Updating graphic card drivers to ensure everything is up-to-date
• Running Oblivion without any of the DLCs selected, Running with all selected
• "Verifying integrity of game cache" on Steam
• Unistalling and reinstalling
• Changing compatibility settings
• Running with administrator
• Lowering Oblivion settings, unselecting options
• Forums

I have found out many Steam users have been experiencing problems with Oblivion on Steam. They have also been experiencing problems with Skyrim too. Both Oblivion and Skyrim have both worked for me in the past, but now they fail to work.

Any suggestions?
