Ever wanted to kill something in a game for a nongame reason

So... Ever wanted to kill something in a game for a non-game reason? Strange question, I guess... Might not be wording it correctly... Basically, I meant that you play a game to kill a specific thing (or group of things) in said game for a reason not related to the game. (FYI: You aren't killing them because of a mission in-game or because they are attacking you in-game).

Asking this question because been reading "Fallout: Equestria" for the past 3-4 days now (I think?) and finally got the final volume of this long story... And I just want to play Fallout 3 so much just to slaughter A LOT (and I mean) A LOT of Enclave... (And some Brotherhood of Steel but really, it should be The Outcasts)...

So ye'h... Was wondering if anybody else ever felt like this at one point.

Anyone who's played an Elder Scrolls or Fallout game will surely answer yes to this.

That being said, yes. I go on frequent "save-and-slaughter" sprees, whereupon I save, then slaughter things. Then reload when I'm done. The reasons why are myriad, but the most common is boredom.
