The main reason I wanted dawnguard was for the sixy dragonbone weapons, but what do you guys think? Which one should I get?
They are often on sale for 50-75% off. So you might just want to wait a few months.
You just missed the big Summer Sale that happened on Xbox, they were very cheap for about a week.
Overall, I recommend Dragonborn if you can only get one of them. It has the most content and new armor/weapons, and you get to visit all of Solstheim.
As someone who thinks Bloodmoon is Bethesda's best expansion pack, I would vote for Dragonborn.
But what you will like only you can say. Read up about them and decide for yourself which one sounds most appealing to you.
heh I have yet to do Dragon born and I am still playing
Never done DB yet either
Just my personal preference, if I could have just one, then Dawnguard. You have the mainland complete, and could do everything there while saving for Dragonborn later. And arrow crafting, crossbows, Lost to the Ages and if you use Restoration, anti-undead offensive spells. Arrow...crafting...
I have them both and i wouldn't give up on any of them. I won;t say wich one is better, but i'll state here what i liked for both DLC:
Dawnguard adds some really cool locales and some awesome dungeon crawls! I am playing through it right now for the second time! It also has some nice offensive resto spells, overall a great pack for Paladin type characters or, ofc, if you want to do the opposite and play as a vampire I'd say it is necessary.
Dragonborn, to me, was very special because you could return to Morrowind. And house Redoran was always my favorite, so I was glad how things had worked out! It also adds a large landmass and another realm and is a refreshing change of scenery from Skyrim.
Personally I think they should be priced $15 (Dragonborn) and possibly $10 (Dawnguard) when not on sale, when considering the amount of content and possible potential hours of gameplay.
Dawnguard : Has more of a straight forward questing approach.
New weapons and armor, a few new and updated locations, new spells, two new factions, updated vampires.
Dragonborn : Sets you in another world for you to go off and explore somewhere fresh again.
New weapons and armor, an entire island full of quests and locations, has the impression of morrowind, crazy amounts of gold in certain locations.
To sum up, Dragonborn is a questline on a new peice of land to explore. Dawnguard is a long questline set in skyrim.
I prefer DB over all thee dlc's.
