i leveled from 3 to 4 while at the NCRCF trying to rescue whos his face, but the powder gangers are hostile towards me so when i initially gained the level i couldnt spend the points immediately. once i killed all the powder gangers and was allowed to spend my skill points and pick my perk, i picked comprehension to read all the magazines i had been sitting on. however i realized that they were all temporary so i reloaded my save, which was immediately prior to picking my skills, as i had walked through a door.

so when i go to reload, the save says i am already level 4 (since i technically was), and once i leave the loading screen i am greeted with a "Welcome to level 5" screen, effectively losing an entire level's worth of skill points and a perk.

i doubt it is anything too many people will encounter and i am not too distraught because im sure i can always just give myself whatever i missed in the console; but i think its worth looking at for the benefit of console gamers who don't have a tilde key on their controller.
