Beyond Skyrim

What I'm talking about here is, who amongst you plan to take any of your Dragonborns far beyond the adventures made by Beth? Who's planning out new stories to develop their characters further, much further than Beth allowed with Skyrim and its dlcs?

For me the main thing, a big reason why I got the PC version in the first place, is to flesh out the Thalmor problem much more thoroughly. This I plan will eventually be the basis for "Dragonia", which I hope will concern a plot that starts and eventually takes root in Falkreath Hold.

Another idea I've had brewing will be a plot concerning strange and sinister looking ruins that Chadric is soon to discover. These ruins will eventually show themselves to be a foreshadowing of a malevolent plot against him, one which will tempt him into a trap by using the memory of a long dead spirit to ensnare him.

I've been planning a quest for Chadric, one which will offer the possible recovery of a powerful set of enchanted dragon themed golden armour and weapons. I've actually been considering the idea of giving the armour the power to allow him to transform into a fire breathing http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20131015223312/elderscrolls/images/2/23/Daedroth_concept.jpg! I'm thinking it over and even now I've got ideas forming as to how this could work. Chances are the final creature will be somewhat different from an actual Daedroth, whilst still being similar in looks.

Lastly, I've had a plan for Chadric's Dragonians to eventually face a cult of dark dragon knights similar to Sith from Star Wars. Although, unlike Sith, there will be a group of them, with the leader using the tactics employed by Hitler, who had his henchmen remain subordinate and weak by having them fight amongst each other for power whilst he himself watched from above. They will be dragon themed necromancers, all previously in the service of Alduin. In doing so they were once gatherers of souls for him to devour. Now though, with their ultimate ruler gone, they would be out for revenge on the one who killed him.

Of course! I love making my own storylines and often ignore the factions and MQ altogether.

You might want to check out the http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33108/? mod series. ;)

This is pretty much the way I play all of Bethesda's games. I think a lot of folks who are still playing these games five and ten and fifteen years after they were released tend to be the type of folks who like to make up their own stories. We're constantly abandoning Bethesda's quests to follow our noses and get into our own adventures. Some of us rarely even do Bethesda's quests. I've only done the main quests of each Elder Scrolls game once.

Participating in a developer's story doesn't interest me very much. What interests me is telling my own stories. I have a pretty vivid imagination and I find that the stories I tell myself are a lot more interesting than the stories game developers tell. I use the game assets provided by Bethesda to construct my own narratives. Creating a character and living vicariously through that character and telling that character's story using the tools and assets provided by Bethesda is what role playing in these games are all about to me.

Ohh, Chadric's done a lot, if not most of the Beth stuff alright. He's done Alduin, Harkon and Miraak. He's also done a lot of the side quests, but only those that suited both his character and his goals. After that though, I've always wanted him to carry on until a point where I feel it's natural to end his cinematic story. Yes, I play him as if he's a character in a movie, so he will eventually meet an end of some sort, whether that be happy or tragic.

Pretty much exactly what Pseron said, I only do the main quest line in these games once, never touch them again. Likewise with quest, my characters who have more than 1000 hours hardly touched any quest. My characters each go on their own adventures, beth provides me with the world, and I mold it to my liking.

I have an RP going on with one of my characters thanks to some glitches that cause Forsworn to start spawning in other places aside the Reach, so right now he's trying to stop the Forsworn from taking over Skyrim! In a nutshell anyway.

That's how my Nord character will be played. Other than the Civil War plot and maybe the Thieves Guild, he and his "Dirty Half Dozen" will be played pretty loosely. They'll be mercs more than white hat heroes.
