Big Dam Overhaul Project

Hey dudes, ive had a little bit of experience with modding and I wanted to start a new game with a crap load of mods that would enrich the whole experience.

It looks like PlanetElderScrolls.com is dead so im kinda freaken out over that. So at this point I think its safe to say that any links to there are dead and should be avoided.

The kind of stuff im looking for is new armor and weapon sets, not just this or that doohickey but like whole sets... http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1006626-list-lore-correct-armor-expansions/ this kind of stuff looks like it would be fantastic, but again, all the links are dead so I dont know where to find that stuff now...

Then you have all this 'immersion' type stuff. I played skyrim for a bit and saw 'hunterborn' and 'frostfall' and stuff like that, mods like that make the game feel so real and alive. Stuff like having to eat and drink and sleep, and having to cook food and 'clean' water so you dont get diseases. What I saw in skyrim that really impressed me was that people took the enchanting and alchemy labs and made them into little portable objects that only weighed a few pounds and did everything that the stationary stuff does. When I look at alchemy in morrowind I want to freak out because the stuff needed to make potions successfully weigh so much that you really cant just take them out into the middle of nowhere without having to really suffer for it... So stuff like alchemy/enchant cooking/cleaning objects that only weigh so much but do the job you need them to do would be fantastic.

The great thing about 'hunterborn' was that it took out all the triviality of hunting and made it more meaningful. I remember how utterly disappointed to the extreme I was when Oblivion first came out, I was so excited to see deer running through the woods that I got a bow and went hunting. To my horror the deer only gave a single cut of meat that didnt offer me any rewards from its use and was actually worth less than the cost of the arrow required to obtain it... So having a mod that would add realistic loot to animals and hopefully, more animals, would make the game so fantastic that you would never want to stop...

Then you have all this graphics stuff. Im looking at MGE and frankly I dont understand why my system cant handle it, I keep getting hug slow downs whenever I try to up the bar on textures and stuff all the while my system isnt exactly a push over... I did some replacer mods in the past that didnt seem to have much if any effect on the game so if some people out there know the difference between this and that kind of graphics enhancing mods that would be fantastic...

Finally theres stuff that I like to call 'quark fixes' like not being able to enchant arrows, or enchanting not changing the value of items when you just spend 50k on something. One personal request that I have is a mod that would allow you to setup an item that you want enchanted then be able to turn around and have it added as a 'barter item' while bartering... What I have found is that you can find a crap load of extremely valuable items that can range anywhere from 5k to 100k and their scattered all over the place. It doesnt seem right that I need 100k to make an enchanted item and not have it, when I have the equivalent of 300k of glass/ebony/other stuff that cant even be sold at normal merchants. The best I have ever been able to do is sell something small like 3k and have to buy a bunch of several hundred G suits of armor in the process just to get the most value out of it, then end up buying that 3k item back to try and sell a 7k item and keep the process going... You end up losing a good two thirds of the value in the process because you have to take a hit with every trade... So really being able to just take out the middle man on enchanting would be a world altering event...

I sure as hell know that im not perfect, im bound to think of something else later that I should have mentioned here and kick myself for not adding it, if anyone else has a great idea of what to add to this feel free to mention it.

Thanks in advance fetchers, may Fargoth swallow you whole!
