Cleaned skyrim.esm

Post » Sat Aug 02, 2014 4:13 pm

Hi all and sorry if this in the wrong place please move if it is.

I accidently cleaned the Skyrim.ems with LOOT while tidying up my mods, I was following a guide and misread it. I applied the filter for cleaning then remove if identical to master records followed by undeleted and disabled references.

The game loads fine and seems to play okay, but am I going to run into problems in the future.

Thanks for reading

I think chuckos88 meant that LOOT is a load ordering tool, you don't use it to clean mods. You use TES5Edit to clean mods. And, no, Skyrim.esm shouldn't be cleaned. Should be fixed by https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335 via Steam.

Yeah, just realised what I've typed you are right, I used TES5 to clean it not LOOT, sorry. Just ran TES5 again and it seems like it does not delete or remove any files and as you said steam can verify the game.
