I am wanting mostly to make the game look better and be more immersive. I am looking for a clouds mod and nightime sky mod. I am looking to make the waterfalls look better at a distance and perhaps terrain look better at a distance (BTW what is "LOD"?)

I am looking for more, lusher foliage (grass and trees) and for better town and villages.

I have been looking at Automatic Variants and bareback's (?) creature pack.

Also intending to DL Wymstooth and Dragonborn. As well as some additional quests.

Also looking at the mod that lets you go to High Hrothghar and trade Dragon Shouts for perks, etc.

Some of these probably bring to mind immediate choices--such as Lush Trees and Grass, and I don't mind--but I don't want to bog down my game anymore than necessary and I don't want conflicts or clipping or strange artifacts. I've had some problems with some of the more popular mods (as I indicated in another thread) . Installing, testing and uninstalling gets old and doesn't leave much time for actually playing the game.

So...given what I do have I would appreciate some advice as to which mods I could install without major problems to enhance my game. All thoughts and opinions would be welcome --I have read descriptions till I am blue in the face--now I need to narrow it down a bit.

Using mods that adds/enhances graphics will cost performance, so it will be a question of balancing eyecandy and performance. Anyway, here are some of my tips:

and http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39799/?. CoT deals with weathers and comes with new clouds etc. The weather patch basically enhances and balances lots of the weathers. For vanilla clouds I've been using Dramatic Clouds but have switched to http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56279/? recently.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/85/? and http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54349/? for the night sky.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/141/? and http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/42370/? for trees and flora.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40564/?, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39394/?, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4834/? and http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19446/? for better looking distant landscape.

Also, you'll want to use the memory patches in ENBoost and those that come with the latest SKSE if you're going down the eyecandy road.
