Question about uflric ( NO CIVIL WAR DEBATE )

Post » Sun Aug 03, 2014 2:09 pm

When the stormcloaks wins the CW is there any dialog with ulfric at all concerning the dark elf/argonian situation in windhelm? A dialog option or something?

I have tried searching for it but never found anything related to the matter so I came here. I'm not tryng to start a CW debate.

I'm just curious if he have anything to say about it :P

I don't believe there is. But I'm not sure how the civil war would effect any feelings towards dunmer/argonians that he might have. I don't believe there is any dialog from him concerning his opinions of them before the war is there? Its been a while since I had a character talk to him. The last one who did... killed him.

You can get some random dialog where his steward mentions the dark elf and uflric replies "blasted dark elfs. Can't they see i'm busy fighting a war here?" or something like that.

So I thought he might had something to say about it after the war :P

That was one reason why I picked the empire after my first skyrim playthrough over the stormcloaks. My first char was your typical hero that wants to help everyone, and the fact that after the war is over you can't start bothering him about being fair towards the dark elves in Windhelm and all non-nord races in Skyrim just annoyed the living hell out of me. But it's fair to say that he doesn't like the other races considering that he's allowing very obvious acts of racism in his very own city.

No, there is only one time Ulfric addresses the Dunmer at all(where he says that he currently have larger concerns and if his steward could relay this information to them). His future plans for them, if any, remain unknown.

Jorleif: "Sir, there continues to be unrest in the Gray Quarter."
Ulfric: "Blasted http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Dunmer. I don't suppose you could tell them that I presently have larger concerns? Such as all of Skyrim?"
Jorleif: "They don't seem to be very sympathetic to our cause, sir."
Ulfric: "Let me know if you hear anything more substantial?"
Jorleif: "Of course, my lord."

This is the full quote of the conversation. It is dismissive, but not quite as hostile in tone as your paraphrase implies.

Alright then, :thanks: for the replies.

Saves me the trouble of actually doing the whole thing.

He jokingly mentions a fight starting up with Morrowind then says he has enough on his plate. Take that for what you will.

Nope. He doesn't really say anything about it.

I think Ulfric is very pro the Dark Elves.

He has given them asylum and even let them have a section of his city. He has kept the Argonians from entering the city and causing trouble.

All this even though they don't show any favor back the other way.

Edit: if fact you could even suggest that House Redoran of the Dark Elves is robbing Skyrim of it's ebony as they only lent Solstheim to them. They should in theory pay dues on the raw material they taking.
