(ReQ) Screenshots needed

Post » Fri May 14, 2010 1:32 pm

Does anyone have a link to some screenshots of Kittybrod's mineral containers? I DL'd it from Elric's site but there are no screenshots. There are dozens of containers and I'd like to be able to see what they look like without installing all of them and cluttering up my data files folder with stuff I won't use.

Thanks in advance for any help. :)

This is what I do:
Extract the mod somewhere. I have a mods folder specifically for unpacking stuff that is no where near my Morrowind folder.

If there are textures:
- drop the meshes into the textures folder.
- open mesh in Nifskope.
- go to texture property and look at texture
-- remove all folder trees so that there is only the texture name and extension (.bmp, .dds, .tga)
--- example: blah\poo\ni\derp\waterloo.tga TURNS INTO waterloo.tga

if there are no textures:
- open mesh in Nifskope
- look at texture name - is it vanilla texture?
- open Irfan View Thumbnails (download Irfan view if you don't have it)
- browse to TESIII CS disc Texture folder
- wait for 3000+ textures to load
- extract the necessary textures to a junk folder (right click, browse to output folder, click)
- put meshes into the junk folder
- re-open mesh in nifskope

When done, you can clean up (remove files you added/moved) or delete the extracted mod and then re-extract it.

Thanks Alaisiagae. :)

I went ahead and installed them. For some reason I haven't been able to get NifScope to work on my new machine (win7 x64) so I couldn't look at them except with the CS. It was just that there were like 14 seperate mods in the one DL and I was hoping to get a quick look without installing them all.

Does Win7 have funny stuff like needing to run as administrator? Run in compatibility mode? Uninstall and reinstall? Running XP 64-bit here, so I think Nifskope is okay on 64-bit architecture OS - but I don't know for certain, Windows is so flaky from version to version...
