Repeated crashes on win XP but not Win 7

Post » Fri May 14, 2010 12:42 am

Hey there,

In windows XP, the game randomly crashes when firing a weapon, especially when using the VATS and aiming for the head.

I also dual boot with windows 7, and none of these problems appear with the very same hardware.

I hope this will be corrected soon because the performance isnt great on 7

I also dual boot operating systems but im using XP and Vista Ultimate and i am also crashing on XP. I usually don't install games onto my vista partition unless they don't play well with XP but the way things are looking now i might have to.

Same problem, windows XP, nvidia GT240. VATS will cause a BSOD about 25% of the time using any projectile weapons. Bad QA, no cookie.

Hey, same thing! Windows XP, GTX 260. 4 gigs of ram. My dual core 1.9g CPU is below minimum, but the game runs -awesomely- when it's not crashing, which is almost everytime I use VATS, and during cinematic kill cams/crits before I turned them off.

It was weird, because it worked fine during the first pair of geckos in the tutorial, then always crashed in VATS after that... Then worked for a bit, then broke again. It's a real headache.

And yeah, the crashes are super immediate BSOD's that blow the damn thing up, causing it to instantly restart.
