I was just reading about Meridia and read that she was cast out after she consorted with 'illicit spectra'. What does illicit spectra mean?

Illicit: forbidden by law, rules, or custom. i.e. illicit drugs, illicit six.

Spectra: plural of spectrum. A spectrum is a band of colors, as seen in a rainbow, produced by separation of the components of light by their different degrees of refraction according to wavelength.

Illicit Spectra = forbidden bands of colors.
