Confused on the different "Classes"

Post » Tue Aug 05, 2014 9:56 am

So I come from World of Warcraft, where classes determine how you play. Is it like skyrim? Are you either a Mage, Thief, or Warrior. Can you be a thief only, wielding a bow and daggers, or do you have to be all three, or whats going on? I think technically there is no set one you have to be, but I mean they kinda lean towards you picking one? How does this work, and how do I know which one is right for me?

Thanks!

Skyrim does not have a standard class system

your class is defined by the skills you use and the choices you make

You are not bound by any arbitrary name limiting you to a particular skill set. You can be a theif that uses spells, or a warrior that sneaks around, or a mage that uses heavy armor. Or you can use them all and put on your "Deal with it" glasses.

Good ole fashioned skill set, sandbox game. The sky and your imagination is the only limits.

Makes me miss the ole UO days.

Like everyone else has said. The world is your oyster,

meaning You can make a theif exactly that if you desired too, or comboed with other elements ( ie. Destruction, heavy armor, etc )
