You've probably seen this a thousand times, but here's the issue

I just got the game last night. Installed, new game, watched the intro, loading screen - New Vegas has suddenly stopped working.

Figured it was a one off - it wasn't.

Started following online fixes;

Ran in administrative mode (steam, fallout.exe and launcher.exe)

Ran in compatibility mode windows xp service pack 3 (fallout.exe and launcher.exe)

Validated steam files - 1 file, acquiring - didn't acquire anything

uninstalled - reinstalled

Downloaded D3D9 file into main game files. Caused black screen with audio on loadup, didn't even get to the main menu

updated Directx

Drivers + sound files up to date

Downloaded NVSE - launcher failure. Ran in administrative mode, launches - new game - intro - loading screen - New Vegas has suddenly stopped working

Changed .ini files.

Removed intro video lines

Downloaded NVAC

I have no DLC, no mods aside from NVSE and NVAC, yet I still can't get this game to work. What am I missing? What information do you need so you can please help?

This is driving me nuts. Any help would be massively appreciated
