Something about Magic and Boredom

Post » Sun Aug 10, 2014 10:14 am

I moved to a new place and finally undusted my Skyrim. To continue with my character Remlius. As explained he's a deadric worshiping necromancer werewolf. Who contorls the Companions and College of Winterhold. Because power and knowledge. He is mostly a devote follower of Hermus Mora. I should also mention Rem is blind. As he cannot see as you and I see.

He stayed stuck at lvl 9 for ages. Magic levels slow in this game.

But there really isn't anything for Remlius to do now that he completed the guild. Quest are always uninteresting. For example, some lady in Riften walks up to me, tells me to put this Lexicon back in its proper place. Interesting setup, then get to the very end of the quest and it was just sorta svck. And the reward for putting the Lexicon doesn't help him much. Something about Dwarven armor and smithing. GREAT.

I don't want to join the Dawnguard DLC because in the end nothing matters. Rem would never help the Dawnguard, but the vampires won't accept a werewolf into their ranks and he's not going to allow them to taint his blood because he also believes in Hircine of course.

All the after the guild storyline quest just svck. A lot of, go here and kill this, etc.

What does an evil deadric prince worshipper do in Skyrim? Rem doesn't kill indscrimenately. He kills those at Shrines that he feels are inferior to his gods and the only god he does worship is Arkay when it comes to the divines.

It only levels slow because the magicka cost is bigger than the pool was designed to handle.. that being said, Destruction I find is the SLOWEST skill to level of all time.

Yep.. when I got to that castle, I instantly felt like Vampire was being forced on me, ESPECIALLY since unlike Vampire, you can only be a werewolf twice, after that, no more.

When I play, I just do whatever comes to mind. Nothing specific.

Ah you are back, I miss your complaint and skyrim debasing.

As expected, you started with your first post.

That's the problem. He's a Necro Destruction mage.

He uses fire and lightning. And uses conjuration.

I feel both Destruction and Conjuration level so slow. These are not skills that should only level in battle. WTF. You don't even want to summon a creature in the middle of battle when an enemy is swinging a big fat greatsword in your face

edit:

Hi Lolitap. Glad you missed me. By the way this isn't anything negative. It's an experience thread.

On the console version? Not a whole lot. As you said and as is, the quests/writing is very underwhelming in Skyrim. If you have the PC version though then mods will help.

This is not unique to Skyrim. There is nothing more to do when we complete the quests in any guild in any Elder Scrolls game.

Welcome to every video game ever made.

And OP, I am not sure about you, but I feel that a daedric-worshipping necromancer werewolf who is the Arch-Mage and Harbinger seems like too bloated a character concept. What exactly were you trying to fulfill with this character of yours? To what end would his lycanthropy or knowledge of the arcane serve his goals?

Well the Companions was just because I had to complete it when I started. On the console, the only way to get werewolfism was joining the Companions and I hate leaving things incomplete. The Companions kind of got slaughtered by Remlius thought because they wanted to cure themselves of Hircine's gift as he sees it.

To him power and knowledge are the two best powers. He kind of wants to recreate the Oblivion crisis. But only with allies he considers worthy.

And I disagree. Oblivion there was a [censored] ton to do after I completed the guilds.

Invisible Villages

Shivering Isles, which is still my all time favorite

Boats filled with wraiths

Phantom Ghost quest

So much junk. Same thing with Morrowind.

I think it's just a problem with Skyrim. Because Dragon's Dogma I never had this problem, neither in FNV.
