So saw a pic this morning at paizo con and it had a banner with obsidian entertainment on it.

Right now only thing on my mind is a pathfinder's version of baldurs gate made by obsidian....YAY!!! So it is so!

Sadly think we will have to wait til the actual Con starts to find out more info.

That would be amazing and I would be ecstatic if such news were true :D

I've always had doubts about Obsidian, one of my old criticisms of the company was that they're stuck in the past. Part of the reason why many of their games fell flat was because they used outdated, or complicated RPG mechanics that just couldn't game traction in the modern gaming industry.

However, It seems I'm starting to eat those words as New Vegas' hardcoe mode is very fun, Neverwinter Nights 2 is considered a superior game to NWN 1, they're working on Pillars of Eternity (said to be a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate) and if there is an RPG company that probably could preserved the rules and mechanics of Pathfinder Obsidian would be that company.

Never understood this type of attitude. Do you NOT like choices, and lots of fun information to read through? And no, I'm not being sarcastic. I love older style RPG systems that have tons of stuff involved with them, that's half the fun to me.
