Never knew this game existed. I just wrapped up the story line yesterday and I loved it. I do have a burning question however. Is there any way you can continue the story? I never really got a chance to explore and do what I wanted. I know your character has to make a choice in the end but is there a way to bypass that so I can continue to do side quests and explore a little more? Kinda like when you're done with skyrim, yet you can continue with your adventure.

Yes. You need to get the DLC "Broken Steel." It will let you play after the end.

What about after you've beaten broken steel? Can the game still be played afterwards?

Yes. It keeps going.

In the Wasteland at least, creatures respawn every three days so you could conceivably play the game forever. The interiors will be rather barren though as those don't respawn, aside from a few of them. You'll also run out of quests to pursue eventually.
