Third Person Animation Issue

Post » Fri Aug 15, 2014 11:49 am

Hi, I can't for the life of me figure out what the problem is with the third-person blocking animation. If I try to go standstill > blocking > moving it just wont work, I can walk/run then start to use block and still be able to move as long as I dont standstill then I'm stuck again like a statue just holding up either a shield or weapon for blocking.

The animation is showing and all, in first-person it is working as it should and the funny thing is I'm not using mods. It is pure vanilla Skyrim with all dlc's.

I have been searching around trying to find something about this but didnt find anything like this.

If you have any ideas on what it could be please tell me.

Delete your Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini inside (C: \ Users \ [ your name ] \ Documents \ My Games \ skyrim) folder.

Delete your Skyrim - Animations.bsa inside (C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ Skyrim \ Data) folder.

After, verify your game cache files. (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335)

Yeah I tried what you suggested but still no luck, I did however find that if I use the controller this is not an issue, so it might have to do something with my keyboard and mouse perhaps? Or is it a common issue that keystrokes don't register in Skyrim?

My keyboard have never indicated that it would be going bad, I wonder if I can simulate my keyboard and mouse so the game thinks I'm using a gamepad.

Thanks for the help anyway :)
