If I was to reverse pp a bandit chief and gave him fur armour whilst taking his metal armour, and have him pursue me thru a door (another cell) would that cause him to equip the reverse pp fur armour?

Im trying to work out a way how to equip better armour/clothing on potential dead thrall candidates before I kill them and thrall them to make their newly equipped armour permanent
