Game breaking college of winterhold bug. : V

After finishing Revealing the Unseen and confronting Ancano, the whole questline pretty much bugs out for me. Mirabelle asks me to go get Savos Aren's body but when I do, absolutely nothing happens. According to the wiki, NPCs are supposed to gather around the body and Tolfdir tells you that he died, which triggers the next quest Containment.

In my game all of the NPCs just walk past the body and nobody offers a new quest. Even if I talk to the NPCs they act as if nothing happened. I've tried reloading previous saves AT LEAST 10 times and each time the same thing happens.

Is there any known fix for this bug? Because this is ridiculous since I can't progress for the College of Winterhold. I've also tried using the setstage command.

On what platform are you playing?

PC. I've tried using the setstage command though.

Since it appears that you are on PC, the Unofficial Skyrim Patch should fix this bug, if you are willing to use it. According to the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Containment#Bugs, a console command may work to progress the quest too, but be aware that this can sometimes lead to further unexpected problems if something is already bugged. Loading a previous save several stages back may also solve this issue.

I already have all the unofficial patches,but the bug is still there.

It's possible that this may have been a non-retroactive fix then, I'm not sure. It also could be that this is a different issue than the one the Unofficial Paches fixed. The bug was also fixed with one of the more recent USKP releases (v. 2.0.5), but I would assume you are probably up to date.
