A major inventory problem

Post » Tue Aug 19, 2014 12:03 am

I entered the pelagius wing in solitude to finish the mind of madness quest and I walked on the red carpet but nothing happened. Then I tried walking around few more times and eventually left the blue palace to roam around Skyrim but after few minutes my clothes unequiped and I couldn't acess the inventory nor spells and map. I really need help because this is a game braking bug and i couldn't find any solutions on the internet. Thanks in advance

Can you load a previous save from before you started that quest?

I tried exiting the blue pallace and entering back in so many times that i filled in all the slots by autosaving

Yes, but do you have a regular manual save from earlier?

I was hoping that there is a way through console commands or something similar

the setstage console command may work, but I don't know if it will transport you to Sheogorath.

setstage

Here is UESP's stages for http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Mind_of_Madness#Quest_Stages.

Didn't work...I think that the game thinks that I'm still in the Sheogorath's realm

That is what it sounds like to me, with your inventory totally cut off from being accessed. Sorry to hear that :(

But you do have some earlier manual saves? If yes, use them.

I loaded a save from a two weeks ago. That was the newest one I had after the Sheogorath one but never mind :)

Game time or real time? Either way you really should save more often.

Realtime...I save only by quicksaves

Looks like that's about to change :P
