I'm starting my first legendary run through Skyrim. I'm started as a Breton (magic resistance) as a Mage Archer. Magic focuses are Destruction, Restoration, and Alteration. (Maybe conjuration also). Thoughts/Suggestions?

I ran Archer mage in Legendary, though was more of a stealth type character, magic was just a means to an end, however, Restoration proved very useful against the undead.
Light armor,, Archery, One handed, Block, Restoration Alteration and Illusion were the main skills and I boosted Mana and Stamina mostly, because I am just crazy like that. I think I had base health of 120 [without fortifies] But there are so many things you can do to make yourself more durable. Besides, my gameplan was about stealth - there were some fights where I couldn't use my sneakiness.
Play for a bit, get a feel for your character, from there you should notice what your gameplan is and what you need for it. Prepare to Die, quite a bit and Save often. Alchemy is your best friend, especially on Legendary.
I have Kinect (I am playing on Xbox 360) and I say "Quicksave" about every three minutes or so xD
I recommend getting your conjuration up as soon as possible. It is a neccesity (For me atleast) to have a dremora or another powerful thrall or two helping you out.
I also reccomend trying to get a good restoration spell such as close wound.
Last Tip: Don't fight the ebony warrior
If going Mage Archer, conjuration is a good idea.
Whether it be for Bound Bow, which is severely overpowered in vanilla - though probably not on Legendary - or to conjure atros / undead to agro enemies, Conjuration is very, very viable.
