How to buy games on GOG with a prepaid card in the USA?

Post » Tue Aug 19, 2014 6:57 am

There are a bunch of games on GOG.com that I would like to buy, but I can't find any prepaid card option in the USA.

It appears that GOG only accepts a few types of credit cards, PayPal, and Paysafecard.

I did a quick search for Paysafecard and it looks like a Eurozone-specific card (they aren't sold in the USA). I also looked at getting a Visa prepaid debit card, but those aren't valid for international transactions.

Any ideas? In particular, I'm looking for a payment option that:
-is available in the USA
-doesn't require registration for an online payment service
-doesn't require a credit card, or any debit card other than a prepaid one

i buy games from GoG using prepaids all the time (granted im in Canada not US, but the steps should be the same)

steps:

1) go to your local Supermarket
2) go to the giftcard section, they will have Prepaid MasterCards
3) buy a prepaid mastercard that has the desired amount on it
4) go to GoG and use it to buy the game

there you go, easy as that

False, MasterCards don't work. That's what I have, and since 2012, MasterCard has restricted their US prepaid cards to prohibit international purchases. Since GoG / CD Projekt RED is headquartered in Poland, that means Op is in the same boat I'm in: NO GoG at all.

Lol. Visa won't even let you look at the ToS for their prepaid cards without knowing your credit score.

Maybe a https://www.paysafecard.com/en-us/products/paysafecard/ card is an option for the OP?

the option shows up for me when I buy GOG games
