No. Tem's Good Eatin' breaks the game and therefore makes any fight no longer 'fun', even Deathclaws can't stop your high regen. Overall I stick to Normal, because enemies don't get more challenging, they just get more boring because you have to deal with bulletsponges who waddle about and peck at you every now and then.

I don't use Sunset Sass nearly as much in hardcoe mode, as in non-HC.

Crafting is a lot more useful in HC, for such items as Desert Salads.

However eventually I accumulate enough stimpacks that it doesn't matter much anyway...except for the stacking benefits of different food items.

Never have taken Them's Good Eatin', but I usually play normal HC.

Regarding LR, I prefer to avoid big fights as much as possible, rather than deal with the damage afterward. Sniping from above whenever possible, and using Stealth Boys.

regen? it works like buffet. a temp boost. doesn't regen over time. i only use that perk for LR mostly. oh, allmost got killed by a tunneler that could poison. so far had is challenging for me. the nastys die fast enough but not too quickly.
